Napier Bridge

Lord Napier Governor of Madras constructed the bridge in 1868, It was handed over to The Corporation of Madra in 1886.

We can see this bridge while traveling north towards The Fort from the Beach Road, actually the original bridge had 10 spans of 50 feet each With a roadway of 20 feet.
